The mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life and to be of “Service to All Mankind."

Eta Lambda Omega (ELO) Chapter was chartered on March 6, 1960. ELO consists of members who are accomplished professionals involved in disciplines including education, technology, engineering, entertainment, and the legal and medical professions. ELO upholds the Sorority's Mission Statement by actively supporting educational endeavors through a diverse compilation of talent and intellect. We proudly serve the greater Pasadena/Altadena community through an array of community service projects. ELO advises Tau Lambda Chapter, which is located at Pepperdine University.
